Quick Catchup

Christmas was great, although a bit emotional for Dad. I think the realization that he's still alive (long story which I may or may not tell later) really hit home with him. I know it did me.

The boys ... umm let's call them Gomez (15) and Kimo (10) got entirely too much stuff, but so did I. LOL We all got spoiled rotten. JD and I spent way too much money and will probably still be paying for stuff come June. Unf.

UTI cleared up quickly, thank you antibiotics and cran-grape juice. (Sorry Bernie, I tried the straight cranberry juice, just couldn't hang with it. Made me wanna toss mah taters.)

I saw the dentist today and the news is so not good. After being on pain meds since last Friday, I finally to go see the dentist today and found out that I'm in for some majorly complex dental procedures which are going to be both expensive and painful. (Why do I have to pay to get hurt?? That really bites.) The good news though is that after it is all over I'm going to have a killer smile. Yay! The really really good news is that he gave me some even better pain pills to tide me over until I get to see the oral surgeon. I'm beginning to my dentist.

Ok ok, maybe I won't go that far. lol

Good news and bad news

It has been one of those days. The bad news is that I've got a raging UTI that is affecting my kidneys and my bladder. Bleh. Hopefully the high power antibiotics will kill the infection before they kill me. My god they are huge and there's some stupid precautions when taking them. Luckily I only have to take them twice a day. Man, it sucks being sick around the holidays, but luckily almost all of my shopping is done. I was supposed to take Mom shopping this week and take Dad to PT Monday and Wednesday, but those have all been divided out amongst my brother and my mom's best friend.

The good news is ...

I got a new "I has" pic! Tell me this isn't TFA!

Need more ..

posts! I'm seriously in danger of having this page being lopsided because of all the cool widgets I have been tinkering with.

Normally when I make entries, I tend to rattle on and on, which makes for a very long index page. That's why I wanted to find the Peek A Boo hack/coding so I can use it whenever the need arises.

As of now, I have no idea what I'm going to do with this blog. I'm just using it to tinker with mainly and see what I can come up with and if it is worth it to me to make the move from LiveJournal to here. I like the way LJ will let me make individual posts Private without having to make the whole blasted journal that way.

Blogger will let me scope out statistics/visitors, which for a stat slut like me is a major plus.

Dang, decisions decisions.
